The lamellar belt was used in Scandinavia, Gotland, at Baltic Sea, and by the Rus (Ukraine). The reason for the sheets is to protect the leather from being cut in a battle. Belts like these can be seen in Thunmark-Nylén´s Viking Age of Gotland.

Made of high quality leather, with a matching decorated bead and buckle, it stands out, for its riveted brass sheets arranged along the belt to protect it and giving it a touch of distinction and elegance. Belt length allows you to carry it on the hip or as a talabarte on the shoulder, crossed in the chest.
