MITTEN GAUNTLET - 1400-1500

The use of mittens can be seen very extended during the second quearter of the 15th C. to beyond. It was oftenly used by infantry who wanted to protect his hand when using pikes and halberds. Of course knights also used mitten gauntlets, but its use seems to be very favored by the mercenaries and foot soldiers of the 15th C.
