Braies were the middles ages men´s underpants as it can be seen at Maciejowski bible and as a sculpture at the cathredal of Reims. Were also visible when wearing leggings or tunic at summer. Toward the late Middle Ages the underpants became even narrower until it finally becomed today slips.
