Description:

The original sword belonged to Sir William Marshall, first Earl of Pembroke, one of the most important men of England. He served the Crown British in the time of Henry II, Richard the Lionheart and John Lackland with loyalty and humility. The sword is now displayed in a British museum.

The reconstruction is made using traditional techniques and reproduces faithfully the original. The steel guard and pommel are elegant, functional and discreet. Handle is wrapped with leather. Blade is made of spring steel tempered with oil until reach a Rockwell hardness of 48-50HRC and with a full tang riveted to the pommel. Blade has blunt tip & edge and is fullered what gives and excellent flexibility and lightness.

Wood & leather scabbard with brass rings to allow belt fixing.

Steel thickness may vary due to the handcrafted methods used on its manufacturing.The steel is untreated and may have rust. To protect the steel you may rub it with mineral or synthetic oil.

The scabbard is designed for shipping not for storing so we suggest you not to keep the blade in the scabbard for long periods of time because metal can be rusted.
