Essential garment from the end of the 12th century to the beginning of the 14th century. Used under the tunic and over the pants, it was the garment used by men of this time to cover the legs.

Furthermore the colors of these pieces were chosen with to the tunic to get contrasts of colors.These chausses are adjusted to an standard foot size, if not fit in the foot because of its size, the historical solution is to cut the tip and add what is necessary to fit the foot. Another historical option is to leave cut tip.
