Description:

This is the matching Main Gauche for the Torino Rapier, a 17th century swept-hilt rapier of Italian ancestry.

The blade are made of forged high-carbon steel and are equipped with black leather scabbards. The guard has an ornate design with straight quillons to protect the hand and for wrapping the fingers around to increase functionality and one´s grip strength.

It´s completed with a free scabbard not included in the price.

This model comes with sharp blade but you can use it for historical fencing, if you change the blade by a compatible OH2256 (blunt blade) made by the same manufacturer.

The steel is untreated and may have rust. To protect the steel you may rub it with mineral or synthetic oil.

Don´t keep the blade in the scabbard for long periods of time because the leather is a hygroscopic material and it can transmit moisture and oxidize the metal.

Sheath is shown on pictures for illustrative purposes only and may not match with the supplied one. Sheath appear (colour or finish) may vary depending on used leather and it can´t be chosen.
