Many of the most beautiful armors from the Renaissance arms boom are German. This model imitates the German style with rolled edges and a rope-like effect, highlighting the craftsmanship in the curved lines of the artisans. The gorget seen in the late 15th century is the logical evolution of armor toward a composite form of protection.
From the bascinet with bevor and visor to the helmet combined with a gorget, there is a clear progression. In this combination, the protection is rigid around the neck but articulated to greatly enhance effectiveness.
Made from 1.6 mm steel. Supplied with straps to attach to other pieces, but they can be easily removed.
The steel thickness may vary due to the handcrafted nature of our products. The carbon steel is untreated and may show rust, which is easily removable. You can protect this item from rust using synthetic or mineral oil.
